Little Roy celebrates 50 years in Music

This weekend we join Earl ‘Little Roy’ Lowe at the Jazz Café Camden in celebration of 50 years in the music business. It is an achievement for any artist to carve out a career in the music industry and many only have fleeting success with their early releases. But Little Roy has gone from strength to strength,  his profile constantly growing reaching new audiences while still staying true to his sound.

With a catalogue of 100’s of titles from over 60 singles and 10 albums, not only is Little Roy a talented songwriter responsible for hits like Prophecy and Tribal War. He is also an amazing producer, behind countless songs recorded for his Tafari label in the 70’s and 80’s.

Most recently Daddy Roy as he is often known had an international resurgence when he recorded a selection of Nirvana songs for a project called Battle for Seattle. This allowed him to perform at some of the world most important music festivals including Glastonbury, Electric Picnic in Ireland and SXSW, constantly introducing a new audience to roots reggae.

So please come and join us this Sunday 11th September at the Jazz Café for an evening of real reggae music with Little Roy and guests.
