TRIP HOP

Alpha formed in Bristol and released their first Album 'Come From Heaven' on Massive Attack's Melankolic label back in 1997, contributing to expand the famous 'trip-hop' sound. 16 years later, Corin Dingley's stellar project continues to push boundaries of electronic music, cloudy pop, hazy dub and dreamlike post-rock. From 'Stargazing' to 'Eleventh Trip' through the ethereal instrumentals of the two part record 'Lost In A Garden Of Clouds', the melancholic romances of 'The Sky Is Mine' and the sharp reggae-dub confrontations of 'Two Phazed People' with legendary jamaican vocalist Horace Andy, Alpha never failed to reinvent itself over the years and remains as bewitching as ever.

Alpha's most recent album entitled ''Eleventh Trip' was released in August 2012 and to coincide with the release, 'Covers Been Blown' featuring vocals from Hannah Collins was licensed to the end credits of British indie film, Jump. The film follows the lives of four twenty-something's in Derry, Northern Ireland whose lives collide one fateful New Year's Eve. Jump was premiered at Toronto Film festival in September 2012.
