Greystone Records is the home to a selection of unique and uncompromising artists who deliver thunderous psychobilly, groovin swing and toe-tapping northern soul. The label is centered around founder Scott Milsom's bands, The Hawkmen, The Rocker Covers and Coffin Nails, releasing the music of these three artists over the past 15 years. Greystone acts as a brilliant platform to promote their artists, and to communicate an authentic style with roots in country, punk and Rock & Roll.

Hailing from Reading, 1985, Coffin Nails are a band with rich history. They took to the psychobilly live scene almost immediately and merged traditional punk aesthetics with foot-stomping rockabilly and horror imagery. Coffin Nails have played shows at the notorious psychobilly venue, Klubfoot. Subsequently, they featured on a series of albums titled, ‘Stomping at the Klubfoot’. The band have had a tumultuous past with many line-up and name changes but have managed keep releasing music and are still going strong today. September 2014 will see the band embark on a European tour.

2010 saw the formation of The Rocker Covers. The band created covers of pop songs in an authentic rockabilly style. Their debut ‘Revved Up’ was a success for the band and Greystone Records; it sold out within a few months and had to be re-pressed. The band has toured the UK playing to audiences at a range of venues from pubs and festivals to car parks and tattoo conventions. In early 2014 bass player Scott left the group to focus on playing and writing original music. Thus, Hawkmen were born.

Alongside contemporary influences the band basks in elements of Rock & Roll and culture of the American swing era. These themes are embodied in their new music video ‘Sugar Daddy’. August 2014 saw the release of their EP ‘Keep on Working‘. This release successfully illustrates how the group have managed to bring together an eclectic range of influences and create their own unique, hybrid sound. The band mixes element of Northern Soul and Rockabilly and have recently been played on Radio 2’s, The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show.

It is a pleasure for Westbury Music Ltd to be able to include Greystone Records on its roster. We are excited to work with a label that is representing an electric range of bands and styles here in the UK.
